Your Fundraiser Makes a Difference

Why Your Support Matters

Since you’re reading this right now, it’s clear that you want to help. We need people like you. When you donate or raise funds for Heart & Stroke, you help fund research breakthroughs.

Your Support Makes Things Happen.

Thanks to the money you raise and donate, last year we were able to invest close to $31.5 million to support 800 researchers across Canada.

The research we support could lead to breakthroughs we’ve all been waiting for. And that means more prevention, more recovery and more lives saved.

Here are just a few of those stories:

How Your Donation Helps

  • Empower women and Canadians to know their risks:
    • Heart disease and stroke takes a Canadian life every 7 minutes.
    • Heart disease and stroke are the #1 killer of women globally, but only one fifth of Canadian women identify this as their biggest health concern
  • Significantly improve the health of Canadians by decreasing their risk factors for heart disease and stroke by 10% by 2020
  • Reduce Canadian’s rate of death from heart disease and stroke by 25% by 2020

We can’t do it alone

Please, help create more survivors by starting an event, joining an existing event, or sponsoring a participant today!

By organizing My Own Fundraiser I had fun, and felt great giving back to Heart & Stroke.
