Personalize your online fundraising page - add personal photos and let donors know why you are JUMPing! A personal appeal makes people more likely to support you.

Make the first donation to yourself - this shows donors your commitment to your goal and when others see your commitment, it will encourage them to follow.

Ask your friends, family and colleagues for support - let them know that you are going to hop, skip and Jump alongside your classmates to raise money for the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Be sure to thank those who do, and follow-up with those who need reminders.

The number one way to increase your fundraising is by asking for support from lots of people! Make a list of all the different social groups you’re part of, both online and off: sports teams, church groups, coworkers, classmates, etc. Start with the people that know you the best and work your way through your list as you see fit.

A parent or guardian must assist/accompany their children when fundraising.

Use social media - cast a wide net using Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter, because you never know where support will come from!

Call people and tell them that you are fundraising for the Heart and Stroke Foundation’s Jump Rope for Heart program, then follow-up with an email to ask for a donation.

Thank you in advance for all your support and be sure to enjoy your JUMP event!
