It will be 29 years ago on August 14th that my father Chuck Paterson died of a massive stroke. My dad had an amazing sense of humour, loved children and nature was an incredibly generous man. He died far too young and he missed out on watching his amazing grandkids grow up. I think about him often at sporting events and when I am with my kids hiking, canoeing etc. He would have LOVED being with them.
Chris and I joined a Learn to Row team this year at Leander Boat Club. We enjoy getting on the water each week and we very much appreciate the patience that our team has. We need to do a bit of funraising so I am reaching out to your for a wee donation. Please consider donating. The blurb from Heart and Stroke follows:
Cardiovascular disease is a leading cause of death for Canadian men and women. I want to help change this. That’s why I’m fundraising through my own event: Row for Heart to create more survivors.
All of the money I raise will go to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, where they’ll use it to develop life-saving treatments that bring hope to heart disease and stroke patients. In the last year alone, the Heart and Stroke Foundation has helped created 165,000 survivors of heart disease and stroke.
Please help me reach my fundraising goal by making a donation today.
It's only with your help that we can continue to fund this vital research, and return more survivors home to their loved ones.
Thank you so much for your support.
