Hello friends & family!
It is that time of year again and I am once again participating in the Row4Heart Regatta in support of the Heart and Stroke Foundation. My team of 10 amazing women have been on the water 2 hours a week since the end of May refining our skills and training for the upcoming July 16th Regatta.
The Heart and Stroke Foundation is committed to protecting the health of millions of Canadians. Last year, the incredible Row4Heart crews raised a little over $34,000 for continued funding of heart and stroke research and placement of AED’s in the Hamilton region. My team contributed $5,646 to last year’s overall total. Our efforts ensure that more public spaces are equipped with AED’s and that we are creating more survivors.
This competitive group of women have gone from near the bottom of the leader board in 2014 to bronze medalists in 2015 to runners up against 11 other teams in 2016. Our team goal for 2017 is to have the fastest times on the water and improve on our previous fundraising total.
So, how can you help? By making a donation, you are providing funding for the ongoing research and helping shave valuable seconds off our race time. You can make a donation by clicking on the link to my personal page below or you can make a cash donation. Donations are tax deductible and you will receive a tax receipt from the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
Thank you in advance for your support! We hope to see you at the Leander Boat Club on July 16th to cheer us on!!
