This year its personal. In September 2016, my husband had two massive strokes, one at home and one in stroke rehab. We are very fortunate he survived. Life is different now. A month in hospital, two months in stroke rehabilitation, months of physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and a gym membership. He has come a long way. We are so proud of him, and how hard he has worked to recover and get his life back. To get our life back. The heart and stroke website has a wealth of information to help families like ours. From diet recommendations and community programs to research updates, it’s good to know help is available when you need it. Our daughters and I have been rowing to raise funds for the Heart & Stroke Foundation since 2005. Who knew that one day it would be our story.
Please donate to the heart and stroke foundation today, and help make health last for all Canadians.
Rotsaert Dental Lab’s rowing team will be rowing in a regatta on July 21st, 2018 on the bay in Hamilton to help raise funds for earlier diagnosis and breakthroughs in the treatment and recovery of heart disease and stroke.
Thank you for helping us give so that others may live. Every life saved is one more reason to keep striving for new breakthroughs. The Heart & Stroke Foundation can't do it without your help.
Thanks in advance for your support.
