Hi and welcome to my page!
My name is Christy MacNeil (Chisholm) and this is my 7th year fundraising for the Heart & Stroke Foundation in memory of my father, who passed away in 2011 from Ischemic Heart Disease.
This past year I gave birth to my daughter, who is now 10 months old. She will never know her grandfather personally, but she will hear about him from family and friends and know what a great man he was. Heart Disease does not only hit men. The statistics for women are of real concern as well. I want to make sure that going forward, more children know their grandparents and parents and get to make memories with them before they pass away.
That is why...
Every year I spend February canvassing, door-to-door and online, to raise money for invaluable research that will hopefully save many lives, including our loved ones. My father supported the Heart & Stroke Foundation for many years, and I know how much it would mean to him that I continue this work in his honour.
Cardiovascular disease is a leading cause of death for Canadian men AND women and the future of life-saving research lies in our hands. With your donation, no matter the amount, all of the money raised will go to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, where they’ll use it to develop life-saving treatments that bring hope to heart disease and stroke patients. In the last year alone, the Heart and Stroke Foundation has helped create 165,000 survivors of heart disease and stroke. This is the light at the end of the tunnel.
Please help me reach my fundraising goal by making a donation or sharing my page. It's only with your help that we can continue to fund this vital research, and return more survivors home to their loved ones.
Thank you so much for your support. It means more than you will ever know.
