Back in 2012, I canvassed for the Heart & Stroke Foundation under the plea - Together, let's make death wait - in honour of my beloved Avo* Lina (Avo means Grandmother in Portuguese) who died on October 22, 2011 as a result of a stroke. Little did I know that 4 years later, that plea would ring true for our family. In 2016, my father-in-law, Clifford Britch, suffered two strokes that he, thankfully, survived.
Heart disease and stroke takes a Canadian life every 7 minutes and is the #1 killer of women globally. By sponsoring me online, you can help the Heart & Stroke Foundation continue to fund critical, life-giving research so we can change these statistics. With your help, we can make death wait. It's only with your help that we can continue to fund this vital research, and return more survivors, like my father-in-law, home to their loved ones.

Thank you so much for your support.
