Heart disease and stroke are leading causes of death for Canadians men and women. Because of amazing research over the past 60 years, the death rate from these diseases has decreased by 75 per cent! But we all know someone living with the effects of heart disease and stroke today. With an aging population and increasing risks in all ages, we have to keep the research momentum going.
That’s why I’ve decided to take part in Ski For Heart 2017. Together, we’re aiming to raise $110,000, which is enough to fund one more researcher. I believe that research is the key to saving lives from heart disease and stroke, and creating a healthier future for all of us. Plus, it’s an investment in innovation that will help to lift the careers of new scientists in Canada, which is home to many leaders in heart and stroke research.
Please help me reach my fundraising goal by making a donation today. Together we’re making a difference, and giving Canadians longer, more fulfilling lives. Thank you for your support!
