Take a walk on the Gardiner!

On June 4, 2017, take part in our second annual 5km walk!

Go for a family stroll or an all-out power walk on a wide-open, traffic-free Gardiner Expressway. But this isn’t your average walk event. You’ll get all the feeling and excitement of a big event that was once only given to cyclists. And you’ll see spectacular city views to boot! So hit your stride on a 5km course that’s sure to be a favourite!

And you’ll feel good while doing good. Your fundraising supports life-saving research across Canada. It all adds up to a unique experience that has made the Becel Heart&Stroke Ride for Heart the must-ride event of the summer for 30 years. Don’t miss out!

Why walk?

Walking is a great way to inject heart-healthy activity into your day — even with your kids in tow. By joining The Becel Heart&Stroke Ride for Heart, you walk in support of critical research. That’s a powerful combination: walking for your own health and the health of all Canadians.

Why fundraise?

The reason is simple yet alarming: Every 7 minutes, heart disease or stroke take a Canadian life. And another family is devastated. We need your help to change that. Your fundraising helps ensure critical research can continue. It’s that research that will help save lives and support survivors and their families. That’s why we ask participants (aged 18+) raise at least $100, in addition to their registration fee.

Your fundraising comes with rewards

The more you raise, the greater the rewards! See them here.
