Ride Big. Live Big.
Find answers to all of your Heart&Stroke Big Bike questions.
If you’ve registered for the event and have questions, you might want to check out the Help & FAQs for riders and captains.
As you pedal through streets, you’ll get lots of attention. What better way to showcase your company/organization than to display your team name at the front of the Big Bike? That way, your community will see that you’re pedaling for the Heart & Stroke Foundation to help fund life-saving research.
If your team raises $5,000 or more, you will all receive a Thank You Big Bike Medal on event day.
There are a few really good reasons!
Please note: you will not be able to join a team if your captain is not online, so send them a friendly reminder to register the team online.
Anyone aged 14 years or older! Individuals aged 14-17 years can ride as long as a parent or legal guardian has provided signed permission on the waiver form. Download the waiver here.
Unfortunately, for safety reasons, we cannot allow anyone under the age of 14 to participate in the Heart&Stroke Big Bike.
But bring your kid(s) to cheer you on! And they can help you fundraise too. It’s great to get the family involved.
It’s easy, just follow the steps below:
As long as your team is registered online, it’s quick and easy to register:
If you can’t find your captain or team name, it’s possible that your team isn’t registered online. Please ask the captain to register the team online. Alternatively, you can contact us and we’ll help you out.
Ideally, the bike should be full, so that’s 29 riders. The Heart&Stroke Big Bike is ‘pedal powered’ and therefore requires at least 14 people to get the Big Bike rolling. Please contact your local area office for more details.
If you are considered a new user, once you register online, there are options within your Participant Centre to import your address book and contacts to your new headquarters page. You’ll also have access to email templates to use to reach your network. If your past donors are not displaying in your Participant Centre, please contact your local Big Bike Coordinator and they will be able to send you an electronic version of your donor list.
It’s easy to find who you’re looking for!
Thank you for supporting life-saving research!
Yes! If you donate online, your tax receipt is automatically emailed to the email address you provide at the time of donation. If you donate $15 or more offline (through cash or cheque), we’ll mail you your tax receipt.
If your offline donation is less than $15 and you would like a tax receipt, please ask the person you’re supporting to check the ‘tax receipt’ box on the offline donation form to ensure you receive a mailed receipt.
Thank you for supporting us!
Did you donate online?
If your donation was made online, you should automatically receive a tax receipt by email. Sometimes these emails end up in junk mail folders so check your junk mail first. If it’s not there, please email email@example.com so we can get you your tax receipt.
Did you donate by cash or cheque?
If your donation is $15 or more, we’ll automatically mail you your tax receipt. If it’s under $15, you will not receive a tax receipt unless you explicitly request one. If you need a tax receipt for donations of under $15, please ask the person you are sponsoring to check the ‘tax receipt’ box on the offline donation form.
For all other tax receipt inquiries, please contact us.
No worries! That happens from time to time. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll get it corrected for you right away.
