Event Overview
Together We Ride. Together We Stride.
Join us on Sunday June 5, 2016 for the 29th Becel Heart&Stroke Ride for Heart. Or stride for heart in our new run/walk. It’s an experience of a lifetime. And your chance to help create more survivors.
Imagine you’re riding down the Gardiner Expressway and Don Valley Parkway in Toronto. There’s not a vehicle in sight and all you can see are 15,000 other Riders around you. Or picture yourself running or walking down the traffic-free Gardiner, surrounded by others who share your goal. It’s an incredible feeling. Especially knowing your fundraising is supporting life-saving work.

Why You Should Ride Or Stride.
More than 66,000 Canadians die each year from heart disease and stroke—one every seven minutes. With your help, we can raise funds to support researchers across Canada who are working on breakthrough treatments that save lives and improve survivor recovery.
Why You Have To Fundraise To Participate.
Participants (aged 18+) need to raise at least $100 in addition to their registration fee. And here’s why.
Running, walking and cycling are heart-healthy activities for all our participants. But we want this event to benefit all Canadians! Taking part in the Ride for Heart is the perfect opportunity to raise funds that go towards preventing heart disease and stroke, saving lives and promoting recovery for survivors, families and caregivers.
Your Fundraising Will Be Rewarded.
The more you raise, the greater the rewards! See them here.
Will You Be A VIP?
You can become a VIP—a Very Important Philanthropist—in one of two ways. Either way, you’ll do more to help Canadians live longer, fuller lives and be rewarded handsomely. Find out more.
